The surgery:
EHair micro transplant implies removing follicles or bulbs – hair roots – from the back or the sides of your head, to obtain hundreds of one- to- five hair-micrografts. They will be placed in a previously marked area in the upper region through micro-incisions with a graft in each of them; this implant is performed with needles of different size, as asymmetrically as possible, in order to obtain a more natural result.
Once the session is over, the scalp is covered with damp gauze and a bandage for 48 hours, or simple with a protective gel, depending on the extent of the procedure.
Anesthesia:
Hair micro-transplant requires local anesthesia and intravenous sedation so that the patient can feel relaxed and comfortable.
Hospitalization:
It is an ambulatory surgery performed in a consulting room.
Recovery:
In general terms, you can resume your (sedentary) working activities within three or five days after the operation.
Scabs will typically fall off in 15 days and during this period you should avoid sports, or the sun, going to the swimming pool or the beach.
This surgery does not leave scars.
Duration if the operation:
The length of the surgery will depend on the number of grafts.
In a long session, lasting 2-3 hours, doctors may make 1000 -2000 micro grafts.
Results:
Your hair will grow again three months after the implant and you can have it cut and combed as usual. You can wash your hair one day after the operation.
Your hair will continue growing and it won’t fall again.
